SuperCruise™- Continuous writing of large amounts of data, as in video recording, can lead to a sudden drop in performance or interrupted recording. Exascend brand technology eliminates this problem and guarantees unparalleled stability even in the most demanding applications. Unlike many competing brand systems, whose performance is only maintained in the initial stages of writing, the unique SuperCruise™ algorithm is responsible for maintaining media performance until the end of the job.
RAID ECC (Error-Correcting Code) - a combination of two advanced data protection technologies. It detects and corrects errors that can occur during data transfer on two levels, both by storing data in multiple flash memory blocks via RAID5 and by using the additional ECC algorithm. This means that even severely damaged data can be recovered. This technology also improves system performance and extends the service life of the SSDs.
Adaptive Thermal Control™ - or adaptive thermal control, which prevents the card from overheating. This innovative Exascend technology works with a patented adaptive algorithm that adapts precisely to the environmental conditions. It constantly monitors and adjusts the overall performance of the drive during operation - when the temperature rises, the algorithm reduces performance slightly, only to increase it again when the temperature drops. Maintaining this delicate balance results in highly consistent performance without the need for user or device intervention.
Afterburner™ - an innovative solution from Exascend that enables faster writing and reading of data by utilizing an SLC cache.
SSDs have slower write performance as a direct result of the characteristics of NAND flash memory, where writing data requires erasing existing information in the target storage unit. Afterburner™ allocates segments of NAND storage units to operate in SLC mode and only then methodically transfers them to other storage sectors. The SLC cache can store individual bits of data, which is why it is considered the most efficient and reliable - its operation significantly speeds up write and erase operations and ensures an optimal balance between performance and lifetime. In addition, Afterburner™ technology automatically transfers data from the SLC cache to the 3D TLC NAND flash memory without compromising performance. With regular use, the use of Afteburner™ facilitates the efficient management of daily write operations of SSDs.
Data Retention Plus™ - SSDs store data in NAND flash memory cells that have a limited number of write and reset cycles. Over time, the cells suffer damage that becomes apparent when overheated (higher voltages) or during extended write/reset cycles - but this process can be slowed by controlling even cell wear. An algorithm developed by Exascend enables the dynamic refreshing of data on flash memory devices, taking into account the current state of the memory. Memory consumption becomes more even and data is protected accordingly. Even at maximum utilization, this reduces the risk of data integrity loss due to the natural degradation of flash memory.
Smartstream™ - Exascend's unique technology that enables smooth continuous shooting and longer recordings on the same card, creating a balance between performance and optimal battery consumption. Smartstream™ analyzes the current write pattern of the NAND flash memory, enabling the selection of the optimal clock frequency of the SSD processor. This improves performance and energy efficiency, resulting in more stable write operations and longer battery life.
Conformal Coating - a conformal coating technology that increases the card's resistance to external influences such as dust and moisture. The coating, which meets stringent military standards, is applied to both the PCB and the integrated components. The coating process itself provides a uniform layer of protection for the entire drive with the exception of the connectors.
