Product Details

The 8Sinn Arca Swiss Baseplate Kit includes four items: 8Sinn 15mm Baseplate, 8Sinn Riser Plate II, 8Sinn Arca Swiss Plate and 8Sinn Arri Dovetail 10". When all these items are combined they form a set that serves as the camera base, allowing for quick release from the baseplate and switching to handheld shooting. The Arca Swiss Plate is precisely shaped on the inside to align with the safety locks on the Riser Plate II – one side features a release pin, and the other side has a lever. Consequently, when these items are connected, the Arca plate is secured from both sides. The long slot in the middle of the Arca Swiss Plate enables connection to a camera cage in various ways, depending on the threaded openings on the cage, using the supplied 1/4" or 3/8" mounting screws. Additionally, the 8Sinn 15mm Baseplate includes two 32mm Arri Rosettes and 15mm rod openings. The rear end of the baseplate includes six 1/4" threaded openings, which can be used to connect it to the 8Sinn Shoulder Pad and convert it into a shoulder rig. The bottom of the 15mm Baseplate is compatible with the standard Arri Dovetail. The set includes a 10" Arri Dovetail plate. (dovetail plate is not essential to reaching the optical center)

8Sinn Arca Swiss Plate for Riser Plate II - is kept in Arca Swiss standard, but the safety mechanism is an 8Sinn solution and to keep it fully functional, the Riser II has to be used with the 8Sinn Arca Swiss Plate for Riser Plate II.

The optical center can be reached when used with the combination of an 8Sinn cage, 15MM Baseplate, and Riser Plate II + 8Sinn Arca Swiss Plate with the following cameras:
