Archon CFast 2.0 is a premium memory card developed in close cooperation with the RED brand. It is designed exclusively for the RED KOMODO 6K film camera. It was created for professional filmmakers who need a reliable and lightning fast storage medium. Perfect even during the most demanding tasks - especially when working in harsh conditions.
The Exascend-branded card is distinguished by a high level of 560 MB/s continuous read and 500 MB/s continuous write. With such fast writing and reading speeds, it works well for tasks that require high bandwidth - like recording with a professional film camera. Thanks to the implementation of RAID ECC, it is equipped with the ability to recover corrupted data.
The Archon CFast 2.0 also features a robust design, resistant to harsh weather conditions. It has been protected from water and dust with a specialized coating and is resistant to temperatures from -5 to 70°C. It was designed using industrial-grade hardware and software, so it can handle even the most demanding environments.

SuperCruise™- Continuous recording of high-volume data, as in video recording, can result in a sudden drop in performance or interruption of recording. Exascend's brand technology eliminates this problem, guaranteeing unmatched stability even during the most demanding applications. Unlike many competing brand systems, whose performance is preserved only at the initial writing stage, the unique SuperCruise™ algorithm is responsible for ensuring that the media's performance is maintained until the end of the job.
RAID ECC (Error-Correcting Code) - a combination of two advanced data protection technologies. Allows detection and correction of errors that may occur during data transmission on two levels, both by storing in multiple blocks of flash memory through RAID5 and an additional ECC algorithm. This makes it possible to recover even severely corrupted data. In addition, the technology improves system performance and extends the life of SSDs.
Adaptive Thermal Control™ - a .k.a. adaptive thermal control, which prevents the card from overheating. This innovative technology from Exascend works with a patented adaptive algorithm that precisely adjusts to environmental conditions. It constantly monitors and adjusts the overall performance of the drive during operation - when the temperature rises, the algorithm slightly reduces the performance, only to increase it again when the temperature drops. Maintaining this delicate balance translates into the highest consistent performance, without any user or device intervention.
Afterburner™- an innovative solution from Exascend that enables faster data writing and reading by using SLC cache.
SSDs are characterized by slower writing, which is a direct result of the characteristics of NAND flash memory, in which writing data requires deleting existing information in the target memory unit. Afterburner™ allocates segments of NAND memory units to work in SLC mode and only then methodically transfers them to other storage sectors. The SLC cache allows single bits of data to be stored, which is why it is considered the most efficient and reliable - its mode of operation significantly speeds up write and erase processes, ensuring an optimal balance between performance and longevity. What's more, Afterburner™ technology automatically transfers data from the SLC cache to the 3D TLC NAND flash memory without affecting performance. In the context of regular use, the use of Afteburner™ facilitates the efficient management of daily write operations by SSDs.
Data Retention Plus™ - SSDs store data in NAND-type flash memory cells, which are characterized by a limited number of write and reset cycles. Over time, the cells become damaged, which becomes apparent during overheating (higher voltage) or during extended write and reset cycles - but this process can be slowed down by controlling that the cells are consumed evenly. An algorithm developed by the Exascend brand allows the data stored on flash memory devices to be dynamically refreshed, taking into account the current state of the memory. Disk consumption becomes more even and data is properly protected. Even at maximum loads, this reduces the risk of loss of data integrity due to natural degradation of flash memory.
Smartstream™- Exascend's unique technology that allows seamless support for continuous shooting and longer recording on the same card, balancing performance and optimal battery consumption. Smartstream™ analyzes the current write pattern of the NAND flash memory, allowing it to select the optimal SSD processor clock frequency. This improves performance and energy efficiency, resulting in more stable writes and better battery life.
Conformal Coating - a conformal coating technology that increases the card's resistance to external threats such as dust and moisture. The coating, which meets stringent military standards, is applied to both the circuit board and integrated components. The coating process itself provides a uniform protective layer over the entire drive except for the connectors.
